On Feb. 7, 2012, Chinese Dome-A Observatory framework plan workshop was hold in Purple Mountain Observatory. More than 30 Scholars joined the workshop. As a recommended project in the twelfth five-years plan of China, the application progress and the advanced researches of the Chinese Dome-A Observatory were reported. During the workshop, site properties, ground constructions,

high-resolution optical&IR 2.5-m telescope, 5-m Teraherz telescope, supporting platform, and control system were discussed. The advanced research is a key step for the construction of Chinese Dome-A observatory in near future, and will offer valuable information for future big science projects.
